Suhl Camp

On Saturday, October 19th, 2024, we had a program planned for visiting and providing to the Suhl camp. This time we decided to bring food with a Food Truck to the camp, which turned out to be very efficient and helpful. The presence of the Food Truck helped completely resolve the hygiene issues that had previously existed during food distribution, allowing the process to be carried out in an organized and sanitary manner. This experience showed us how much having the right equipment can positively impact the quality of support provided to the refugees.

In this program, the main meal was falafel sandwiches, served alongside a variety of beverages. After the meal, tea and hot coffee were prepared for everyone, accompanied by Baklava as a dessert. 
For the children, we had also prepared some surprises, including chocolates and Kinder Surprise eggs, which brought a lot of joy and excitement to them.

This program was made possible only through the cooperation and support of our dedicated volunteers. Therefore, we would like to extend special thanks to Shahab, Judith, Mehdi, Amir, Afshar, Mohammad, and Shahrouz, who assisted us in various areas such as cooking, transportation, and food service. Each of them performed their tasks with care and kindness, ensuring everything went smoothly.

We would also like to thank the Medinetz Jena team, who participated in this program and provided medical consultations to the refugees. Their presence reassured the refugees and helped them better manage their health needs.

Overall, this day was one of our most positive and enriching experiences. With our collective efforts, we were able to take a small step toward improving the living conditions of the refugees and provide them with a different and special day in an otherwise monotonous and exhausting camp environment.

LANTERN Food Project in Suhl

Hello to all friends, yesterday on 15/07/2023, we went to Suhl Camp with LANTERN and the Food Project, we served more than 280 meals, which included rice, lentils, ground beef, onions, spices, and Shirazi salad... Thank you a lot of friends who helped us in this program, Mohammad, Arad, Rehab, Judith, Mehdi, Shadab, Wares, Behnam and Amin who took the trouble of the van bus, thank you all🙏💐♥️ سلام به همه دوستان، ما دیروز در تاریخ ۱۵/۰۷/۲۰۲۳ با لانترن(فانوس) و پروژه غذا به کمپ زول رفتیم، بیش از ۲۸۰ پرس غذا سرو کردیم که شامل برنج عدس گوشت چرخ کرده گاو پیاز ادویه همراه با سالاد شیرازی بود... سپاس فراوان از دوستانی که در این برنامه به ما کمک کردند، محمد رحاب، یودیت، مهدی، شاداب، وارث، بهنام و امین که زحمت اتوبوس ون را کشیده بود🙏💐♥️

Hello dear friends In Saturday ۲۴/۰۲/۲۰۲۴ we went to Suhl Camp with the LANTERN food project and cooked in the church kitchen, the food was lentil with minced meat and raisin pilaf, which turned out to be very delicious. To prepare this dish, 30 kilos of special Irani rice, 15 kilos Lentils, 15 kilos of fresh minced meat, 9 kilos of raisins, 8 liters of oil, 400 disposable containers, salt, black pepper, turmeric, and cinnamon were used, and more than four hundred food presses were distributed, but people still came to get food, more than Out of 1100 people live in this camp and unfortunately we could not feed everyone!
