Yalda Night

Yalda Night, also known as Shab-e Chelleh, is one of the most beautiful Iranian celebrations, observed on the longest night of the year. This night, which begins at sunset on the last day of autumn and lasts until sunrise on the first day of winter, provides an opportunity for families and friends to come together and joyfully celebrate the arrival of winter. On this night families gather to honor the values of togetherness and preserve their ancient traditions. A colorful table is spread with traditional foods such as pomegranates, watermelons, nuts, and sweets, symbolizing blessings and prosperity. Reciting poems from Hafez, fortune-telling, storytelling by elders, and recounting ancient tales are among the rituals that make Yalda Night special and memorable. This celebration is a symbol of the triumph of light over darkness and a reminder of hope for brighter days ahead. It also serves as a moment to renew family bonds and cherish the joy of being together. Yalda mobarak💐❤️
